Pinyahon Island

                                              Pinyahon Island

A very tiny island located at Sibutad, Zamboanga Del Norte Philippines. This rocky island has approximate land area of about 2,400 square meters with watch tower in the middle. A blissful ambiance and a white sand shoreline, a crystal clear cool water captivates foreigners and local tourist, makes them to stay and behold its beauty. Its warm water at night is best for night swimming, laying down at white sand feeling the cool night breeze, there you have a good stargazing.
A name Pinyahon derives from the word Pinya witch means Pineapple. Perhaps it has a pineapple shape when it was first discovered and developed.. Today, Pinyahon Island is even more beautiful, sunrise is so inviting, it has cottages for the tourist to stay and enjoy.

Aw! there are sea snakes also called (Walo-walo) This black and white banded ell is known to be the most venomous snake. Some local Fishermen I've talk to said that if you happened to be bitten by this sea snake you will not last 8 hours that's why it was called (walo-walo) Walo means eight in English.  But don’t worry they are not that harmful if not threatens. They just love to stay in the dry and cool rocks at night then came back to the water at day.

April 18 & 19, 2019 I gave my family a lengthen season island visit there. My wife and I sleeps in the sand at night where there are file of rocks behind us. Roaming around early morning after waking my wife called me to hurry back to the spot where we slept, she showed me the sea snake just came out from the rocks besides the spot we were sleeping. Thank God it didn’t bite us.

I guarantee, you will not regret if you spent your vacation and family bonding there.
By the way, if you plan to go make a visit; bring as much provision you might need because there is no store in there to buy anything.

If you know this island or had been there, you can leave a comment below. Then share this page that you family and friends may know about this good place.

Black Berry I found in West Bohol.

This kind of Black Berry I found in West Bohol.
                                By: Ser Loi Avila

I never thought Black Berries would grow in Topical Country like Philippines. Well, I didn't know exactly which climate or which country blackberry do grow.
March 6, 2019 we went to Bohol for a business meeting. Outside the meeting hall I was fascinated with a beautiful garden where they grow different types of plants and flowers. My eyes stuck to this rear green leafy bush I saw, it has kinda purple black, shiny and semi rounded fruits of about 10 or 11 millimeter in size. I promise you I never knew the name of that plant was, I even ask the gardener what name of this plant is, he said with uncertainty "a Money Tree or something" he is not sure I can tell by the look on his face. So I took a picture of it with my Samsung A6 Galaxy phone using the Bixby feature on it. There! it gives all kinds of pictures of Black Berries and this kind is one of them.

Though I am not exactly sure its name, but it some kind of a Aronia Berry.

If you are familiar with this plant. Let me know, please leave a comment below this page.
