Pinyahon
Island
A very tiny island located at Sibutad, Zamboanga Del Norte
Philippines. This rocky island has approximate land area of about 2,400 square
meters with watch tower in the middle. A blissful ambiance and a white sand
shoreline, a crystal clear cool water captivates foreigners and local tourist,
makes them to stay and behold its beauty. Its warm water at night is best for
night swimming, laying down at white sand feeling the cool night breeze, there
you have a good stargazing.
A name Pinyahon derives from the word Pinya witch means
Pineapple. Perhaps it has a pineapple
shape when it was first discovered and developed.. Today, Pinyahon Island is even more beautiful, sunrise is so inviting, it
has cottages for the tourist to stay and enjoy.
Aw! there are sea snakes also called (Walo-walo) This black and white banded ell is known to be the most venomous snake. Some local Fishermen I've talk to said that if you happened to be bitten by this sea snake you will not last 8 hours that's why it was called (walo-walo) Walo means eight in English. But don’t worry they are not that harmful if not threatens. They just love to stay in the dry and cool rocks at night then came back to the water at day.
I guarantee, you will not regret if you spent your vacation and family bonding there.
By the way, if you plan to go make a visit; bring as much provision you
might need because there is no store in there to buy anything.
